About the Artist

Born and raised in rural West Java, Suy has developed a unique style of experimental folk music that seamlessly connects traditional instruments with modern sound design. His journey has taken him through Indonesia's rural landscapes, playing intimate gigs and cultivating a sound deeply rooted in place. Beyond the stage, Suy has collaborated with Reveal Nature, a Norfolk-based organization specializing in nature connection and therapy. He has also contributed to international projects, including Beijing Spring, a film-inspired album conducted by Damian Lazarus, and is currently collaborating on various cutting-edge projects that weave nature, tradition, and innovation into music that resonates across borders. "My music is born from the soil of my village and the pulse of the forest."
